New Delhi: The central government is considering all kinds of measures to deal with the recession in the country. In this series, the government is going to take steps to promote exports. Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal said that soon guidelines will be issued to give foreign exchange credit to exporters at affordable rates. Goyal expressed concern over the reduction in export credit. The Union Minister said in a meeting of the Board of Trade here that the government is concerned with the decline in export credit.

He said that the government would present a good action plan for early resolution of this issue. This will especially help Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. Goyal said that under this action plan, exporters will be able to get foreign exchange credit at a very economical price. He said that its rate would be around four percent. Goyal said that his ministry is waiting for the decision of Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on some issues related to export credit. The minister said that talks are also on with banks.

He said, "We will soon put out a roadmap." It will be finalized by Reserve Bank of India, Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Commerce. The meeting expressed displeasure over the absence of state ministers and officials. He said that in this regard, he will talk to the CM about the states concerned.
