New Delhi: Public interest litigation has been filed in the top court in the case of encounter of gangster Vikas Dubey. The petition has demanded an enquiry in the role of Uttar Pradesh Police. However, the petition was filed in the court late Thursday night, in which it was feared that the encounter of Vikas Dubey could be done.

Ghanshyam Upadhyay, counsel for the petitioner, says that today he will demand the court to hear the matter. The petition filed in the apex court had sought to protect Vikas from the encounter. Along with this, there has also been a demand to register an FIR in the case of demolition of the house of development, the mall, and the CBI to get the entire case investigated. It has been said in the petition that it appears from the media report that Vikas Dubey himself informed the guards at the Mahakal temple. He deliberately got arrested by the Madhya Pradesh police so that he could avoid being an encounter.

Let us tell you that gangster Vikas Dubey was killed in an encounter with UP STF between 7:15 am and 7:35 am today. On reaching Kanpur, Vikas Dubey, knowing his area, tried to escape by snatching a pistol from the team of UP STF. After this, UP STF chased Vikas, then Vikas opened fire on the team of STF. Then UP STF also retaliated and asked him to surrender but he did not agree. However, Vikas Dubey was badly injured in the police action, after which he was declared dead.
