New Delhi: Preparations have already started for the proposed assembly elections in West Bengal next year. At the same time, there is a discussion in the political corridors that there may be political violence during elections in Bengal. In view of this, a petition has been filed in the apex court, seeking to ensure that the proposed election in West Bengal in 2021 is made free and fair. It demands that the security of the leaders of opposition parties in the state should also be ensured.

Recently, Bharatiya Janata Party national president JP Nadda visited Bengal for campaigning. During this time his convoy was attacked. The car of BJP general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya was also present in this convoy. Vijayvargiya was injured due to stone-pelting. There was a lot of political uproar in the state about this. The BJP directly accused TMC workers of this.

At the same time, the central government summoned the Chief Secretary and DGP of the state after stone-pelting. However, both the officers violated the order given by the Ministry of Home Affairs and did not reach the Ministry. In such a situation, it is now believed that this can start an administrative and legal battle between the state and the central government.
