Actor John Abraham's upcoming film 'Batla House', which was set up at Batla House Encounter in 2008, has been sought to be banned. A petition has also been filed in the High Court against the film and it says that the movie should be banned from screening. This is because it may affect the hearing of the case.

Hearing the petition, Justice Vibhu Bachru, who is hearing the case, has ordered that the special screening of the film will be held in the High Court on Monday and it will look into whether John's film will affect the trial of the case.

The petition is said to have been filed by Ariz Khan and Shahzad Alam, accused in the case. Shahzad has been sentenced to life in prison by a lower court and has also challenged the verdict in the High Court. Serial blasts took place in the national capital on September 13, 2008, and were then raided by the Special Cell of Delhi Police at a flat in Batla House, which was shot dead by terrorists. The film remains on it, the film has received date of August 15 for release.
