The month of Sawan is called the favorite month of Bholenath. In this month, the person who worships Bholenath gets all the happiness. In the worship of Lord Bholenath, Abhishek and bel leaves have been considered in the first place. It is said that if they are offered bel leaves and it is anointed, then there is a great benefit. The sages have even said, 'the offering of bel leaves to God is equal as 'Kanyadaan' of 1 crore girls.'

The bel tree which is in the house becomes a place for complete siddhis. There is happiness in the house where it happens. It is said that by reciting or chanting hymns under this tree, its fruit increases infinite fold. Soon success is also found. It is not only said that Lakshmi starts arriving due to its fruit and eating it gives relief from many types of diseases along with ear infection.

The Bel leaf has been told in the scriptures to offer to all the Gods and Goddesses, which is as follows - 'न यजैद् बिल्व पत्रैश्च भास्करं दिवाकरं वृन्तहीने बिल्वपत्रे समर्पयेत'. According to this, bel leaf is also offered to Lord Suryanarayana by breaking the entire stick. If the seeker himself breaks the bel leaf, then he should chant this mantra told by Rishi Acharendu - 'अमृतोद्भव श्री वृक्ष महादेवत्रिय सदा. गृहणामि तव पत्राणि शिवपूजार्थमादरात्'. This increases profit.
