London: UK PM Boris Johnson has announced the opening of schools in the country in a phased manner from 1 June. PM Boris Johnson has said, "I declare that from Monday, June 1, we intend to proceed according to the plan. If any symptoms are found in any children or staff, then they will be tested."

According to the plan, it is intended to open class 10 (tenth) and class 12 (twelfth) from June 15, whose preparation for the exam is due next year. Johnson admitted that it may be difficult to follow the rules of social distancing with young children. For this, special guidelines have been made for schools. This will include instructions such as reducing the size of young children's classes, keeping the children in small groups and not mixing with each other, arranging different breaks and lunch times, keeping the pick-up and drop-time apart as well.

This includes increasing the frequency of cleaning, reducing the use of shared objects and using outdoor space. According to PM Johnson, apart from opening schools, there was a plan to open non-essential retail, regarding which will be informed in the coming weeks.
