NEW DELHI:  Prime Minister Narendra on Tuesday y distributed nearly  71,000 appointment letters to newly inducted recruits in government departments and organisations through video conferencing.

The Prime Minister added as he handed out the appointment letters: "In the past, it was challenging to apply for a government post; one had to wait in queue for hours to acquire the form. Today, everything from applying to receiving results is done online. For Group C and D positions, interviews are no longer necessary. The possibility of corruption and nepotism has been eliminated.

These fresh hires, selected from across the nation, will fill various roles and posts, including Gramin Dak Sevaks, Inspectors of Posts, Commercial-cum-Ticket Clerks, Junior Clerks-cum-Typists, Junior Accounts Clerks, Track Maintainers, Assistant Section Officers, Lower Division Clerks, Sub Divisional Officers, Tax Assistants, Assistant Enforcement Officers, Inspectors, Nursing Officers, Assistant Security Officers, Firemen, Assistant Accounts Officers,

The Rozgar Mela is a step in the direction of the Prime Minister's promise to give the creation of jobs the highest priority. According to the press release, the Rozgar Mela is anticipated to serve as a catalyst for increased job creation and give young people worthwhile chances for empowerment and involvement in national development.

The newly appointed appointees will also have an opportunity to educate themselves through Karmayogi Prarambh, a free online orientation programme for all new government employees.
