New Delhi: As per a release from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry on Friday, PM Gati Shakti comprises the geospatial mapping of everything in the country, different layers of maps that talk to each other, leading to integrated planning, with greater time and cost efficiency.
Union Minister for Commerce & Industry Piyush Goyal said on Friday, "One of the examples is that we are now able to remove the scenario of projects becoming stalled owing to crossing of forest and train line," while speaking at the Forbes India Leadership Awards 2021-22 in Mumbai. Our doors to the world are being opened wider by Aatma Nirbhar Bharat. "Each of our programmes is focused on leveraging our capabilities, establishing ourselves as a global player, and expanding our sphere of influence in geopolitics, commerce, and business."
The fact that we have surpassed the 400 billion dollar mark in goods exports for the first time in our history, according to the Minister, is a credit to our collaborative work. "A number of business-focused initiatives, such as Startup India, digital initiatives, DBT, and efforts to simplify regulations, in combination with the central government's plan to invest Rs. 7.5 lakh crore, will provide a significant boost to jobs and the economy." He went on to say that these initiatives will help to boost demand and, as a result, private sector investment.
Union Minister Shri Goyal praised the National Single Window System, whose beta version was just unveiled, and said it aimed to speed up clearances. 'We want to lower industry compliance burdens and eliminate pain points in laws,' he added.
