Hyderabad: People from all backgrounds, regardless of religion or community, arranged various programmes to celebrate the Telengana Chief Minster, K Chandra Shekhar Rao's (KCR) 69th birthday in the State.

Telangana Non-Gazetted Officers conducted blood donation drives on Thursday throughout the city, while Aliya School hosted a cake-cutting ceremoney  while wearing the Chief Minister's mask. In addition, several programmes were put on by various organisations at various locations.

On Friday, various prominent figures congratulated Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on his birthday, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, former Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu, Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan, and others.

KRCR also received birthday greetings from the chief ministers of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Assam, and Delhi, M. K. Stalin, Pinarayi Vijayan, Himanta Biswa Sarma, and Arvind Kejriwal, respectively. "Happy birthday, Shri KCR Garu, chief minister of Telangana." I wish him health and longevity," Modi tweeted. 

Former Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu greeted Rao on his birthday and wished him a long, healthy and meaningful life.

Rao, commonly known as KCR, received good wishes from Soundararajan via Twitter. Happy birthday to the honourable Shri K Chandrasekar Rao garu, @TelanganaCMO, she wished. Rao also received greetings from Stalin, Vijayan, Kejriwal, and Sarma via Twitter.

Kerala Chief Minsiter Pinarayi Vijayan posted a photo of the two leaders on the social media platform and said: ''Warm birthday wishes to KCR Garu! Your dedication to public service and efforts to foster healthy relations with other states, especially Kerala, are truly appreciated. Best wishes for your good health and continued success.  Telangana BJP president and MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar wished that Rao be blessed with a long and healthy life.

Actor-turned-politician and Jana Sena Party founder Pawan Kalyan greeted Rao and wished him a happy and healhy life, a Jana Sena release said. 

On the occasion of Rao's birthday, leaders and activists of the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) organised a number of charitable events.

The birthday festivities at the LB stadium in this city were attended by Rao's daughter and BRS Legislator K Kavitha.
Telengana Labour Minister Ch Malla Reddy and BRS Rajya Sabha member J Santosh Kumar offered prayers in a temple at Keesaragutta here and planted saplings at the urban eco park at Keesara.
