Chandigarh: PM Modi has mourned the death of Justice M Rama Jois, who was the Chief Justice of Punjab Haryana High Court. PM Modi has tweeted that his contribution to his country is laudable. At the same time, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president JP Nadda has also expressed grief by tweeting.

PM Modi tweeted from his official Twitter handle, writing that, 'M Rama Joyce was an intellectual and jurist. India's democratic system was further strengthened by his rich conscience. His contribution is commendable. I am saddened by his death. My thoughts are with his family and fans in this hour of grief. om Shanti.' At the same time, Nadda wrote in his tweet that, ''Justice M Rama Jois's passing is a huge loss to society. He served the country selflessly and left an indelible mark on the country's judicial system. My condolences to his family, friends, and fans. om Shanti.''

According to Jois's family, former Bihar-Jharkhand Governor and Retired Judge M Rama died on Tuesday at the age of 88. He was ill for a long time. According to media reports, he was suffering from many diseases due to aging. Jois has also been a member of the Rajya Sabha. Jois was born on 27 July 1932 in Shivamogga (Karnataka). He studied law and was associated with the National Self-Service Association from the very beginning.
