PM Modi reached Manipur's Imphal. He will be addressing the 105th session of the Indian Science Congress at Manipur University shortly, along with inaugurating several projects. Governor Najma Heptulla & CM N.Biren Singh were present to receive PM Modi at the airport.

PM Modi’s Manipur tour will focus to shower several developmental gifts to NE.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is to lay the foundation stone of various projects including National Sports University and inaugurate many other projects at the Luwangsangbam Multi-Sports Complex in Imphal on Friday.

When Prime Minister Narendra Modi tours Manipur on Friday, he will not only inaugurate the Indian Science Congress but he will also shower several developmental gifts on the state.

The PM will lay foundation stones of a dozen projects at Luwangsangbam.

Here are the lists of Key projects to be inaugurated today -

 --Multi Sports Complex in Imphal will be inaugurated during the event.

-- Major among the projects being initiated by the PM is the first of its kind in the North-East, the National Sports University.

-- He will also launch an ecotourism project

-- Sadbhavana Mandaps

-- A thousand Anganwadi Centres

-- 19 residential complexes for teachers, doctors & nurses

Minister of State for Development of North East Region Dr Jitendra Singh and Sports Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore will also attend the occasion including Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh and several state ministers.

The PM will also honour world well-known boxing champion and Rajya Sabha member Mary Kom at the event and address the gathering.

The Modi govt has added more emphasis on the development of the North-East region since it has been in power. Several infrastructure and development boosting works have been commenced and completed during its term & more are being added to the list on Friday.
