PM Modi begins 3-day visit to Gujarat today, inaugurating projects worth Rs22,000 cr

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive in Gujarat on Monday for a three-day tour. The PM will launch development projects in Gandhinagar, Banaskantha, Jamnagar, and Dahod aimed at strengthening the ease of living for people.

He will pay a visit to the Vidya Samiksha Kendra and speak with educational specialists. The Prime Minister will open a new Banas Dairy complex and a potato processing factory in Banaskantha on April 19.

In addition, the Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO), Dr Tedros Ghebreyesus, will begin a three-day visit to Gujarat today and will attend a number of events with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.  The WHO director-general will arrive in Rajkot on April 18 and stay overnight before joining Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the foundation stone-laying ceremony of the WHO Global Centre for Traditional Medicine (GCTM) on Tuesday, according to Rajkot Collector Arun Mahesh Babu. GCTM will be the world's first and only global outpost centre for traditional medicine.

On Wednesday, Ghebreyesus will be in Gandhinagar to kick off the three-day Global AYUSH Investment and Innovation Summit. The conference will feature about 90 notable speakers and 100 exhibitors.

"The foundation stone of the WHO Global Centre for Traditional Medicine will be set on the afternoon of the 19th, which is said to be a source of tremendous pride for every Indian." "This Centre will bolster efforts to use traditional traditions of medicine to promote global wellness," Prime Minister Modi said.

Officials stated that the Summit will uncover investment opportunities and boost the wellness industry's innovation, research and development, and start-up ecosystem. They also stated that this will serve as a platform for future partnerships by bringing together industry leaders, educators, and researchers.
