Since 4th July 1776, 4th July has been traditionally celebrated as 'Independence Day' in the United States. On this day, the Second Continental Congress allowed the US declaration of independence. John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Alexander Hamilton, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, and George Washington are considered as the founding fathers of the United States. There was a group of 7 prominent leaders who led the American War for Freedom and played a major role in it.

The Declaration of Independence, a statement explaining the decision of Great Britain's 13 colonies to declare themselves independent from colonial rule, was approved by the US Congress on July 4, 1776. However, the actual resolution of independence was passed two days back. It was passed on 2 July, when the 13 colonies were legally separated from the rule of Great Britain.
