New Delhi: Makar Sankranti, Bhogli Bihu, Tusu Puja, Pongal, Suggi, Bhogi, Maghi, Khichdi, Paush Parv and Uttarayan are being celebrated across the country on Friday. Pm Narendra Modi has greeted all Indians on the festival. He tweeted, "Today we are celebrating all the festivals across the country which reflect the vibrant cultural diversity of India. This festival related to the worship of nature brings health and happiness to everyone's life.'

The PM then tweeted several more congratulations to the people of India. He wished the people of Gujarat a happy And Prosperous Magh Bihu. He greeted the people of Gujarat on Uttarayan. Prime Minister Modi wished Pongal all the best and said, Pongal is synonymous with the vibrant culture of Tamil Nadu. On this special occasion, my greetings to everyone and especially to the Tamil people spread all over the world. I pray that our bond with nature and the spirit of brotherhood in our society are deep.'

In a tweet, he said that it is a prayer that this festival brings happiness and prosperity in everyone's life.
