PM Modi Connects with J&K Students, Encourages Contribution to National Development

Srinagar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi engaged with 250 students from Jammu and Kashmir as part of the 'Watan Ko Jano' program in the national capital on Sunday, expressing admiration for their enthusiasm and energy. During the interaction, he inquired about their travel experiences and the iconic places they visited. PM Modi discussed the rich sporting culture in Jammu and Kashmir, highlighting the achievements of young archer Sheetal Devi. He advised the students to contribute to the country's development and work towards the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047. The Prime Minister also talked about the tourism potential in Jammu and Kashmir, the benefits of Yoga, and the successful organization of the G20 summit in Kashmir.

 

After meeting PM Modi, the students expressed their joy, describing the experience as amazing and magical. They appreciated the Prime Minister's friendly demeanor and were grateful for the opportunity to meet him. One student mentioned that meeting the Prime Minister inspired her to do something good for the country. The students also commended the government for visible changes and developments, citing the construction of the world's highest railway bridge in Jammu and Kashmir as an example of improved connectivity in the region.

Meanwhile, 250 students from underprivileged backgrounds, representing almost all districts of Jammu and Kashmir, are on a 12-day exposure visit to Jaipur and New Delhi under the 'Watan Ko Jano' Youth Exchange Programme. The initiative aims to expose youth to the cultural and social diversity of the country. Commissioner Secretary of the Social Welfare Department, Sheetal Nanda, flagged off the group, which has already visited Jaipur, Ajmer, and Delhi. The students expressed their gratitude for the memorable experience and shared their aspirations for the future.
