Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated India's first Vande Metro service, now renamed 'Namo Bharat Rapid Rail,' on September 16. The new rail service will operate between Bhuj and Ahmedabad, marking a significant step in India's railway modernization. In addition, PM Modi flagged off several other Vande Bharat trains on important routes, including Kolhapur-Pune, Pune-Hubballi, Nagpur-Secunderabad, Agra Cantt-Banaras, and Durg-Visakhapatnam.

Key Details of the Bhuj-Ahmedabad Namo Bharat Rapid Rail:

The Bhuj-Ahmedabad Namo Bharat Rapid Rail service will cover a 360-kilometer journey, stopping at nine stations. The trip will take approximately 5 hours and 45 minutes, with the train reaching a top speed of 110 kilometers per hour.

Train No. 94802 Bhuj-Ahmedabad Vande Metro will depart from Bhuj at 5:05 a.m. daily, except Sundays, arriving in Ahmedabad at 10:50 a.m.

The train will make stops at the following stations: Sabarmati, Chandiodiya, Viramgam, Dhrangadhra, Halvad, Samakhiali, Bhachau, Gandhidham, and Anjar in both directions.

The Namo Bharat Rapid Rail features 12 coaches with a total seating capacity of 1,150 passengers. It is equipped with several modern amenities, including ergonomically designed seats, fully air-conditioned cabins, and modular interiors, making it superior to other metro services, as noted by the Railway Ministry.

With the launch of these new services, India's railway network continues to expand, offering faster and more efficient travel options for passengers across various regions.
