Pune: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today arrived in Pune in Maharashtra on Sunday where he inaugurated the Metro Rail Project. Pm Modi inaugurated a 12 km stretch of the total 32.2 km Pune Metro Rail Project. Then, they boarded the Metro Rail. Due to this, he discussed with the children sitting in the metro. Let us know that Prime Minister Modi also bought a ticket for the metro ride. Earlier, he unveiled the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in the Pune Municipal Corporation premises.  

Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari and Pune Mayor Murlidhar Mohol were also present. On December 24, 2016, Prime Minister Modi had laid the foundation stone of the metro project, which is being built at a cost of over Rs 11,400 crore. The project is an attempt to provide world-class infrastructure for urban movement in Pune.  

The same PM Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of several development projects at around 12 noon and inaugurated them. He also laid the foundation stone for rejuvenation and pollution abatement of the Mula-Mutha river projects. The 9 km stretch of the river will be rejuvenated at a project cost of over Rs 1080 crore. It will include works like riverside conservation, interceptors, sewage network, public utilities, boating activity, etc. The Mula-Mutha river pollution abatement projects will be implemented on the concept of One City Forest Operator at a cost of over Rs 1470 crore.
