New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi held video conferencing today. During this, he interacted with the beneficiaries of PM Svanidhi Yojana. He said in his address, 'I experienced this while communicating with the beneficiaries of the Svanidhi Yojana, that everyone is happy and surprised. Earlier, the jobbers had to go to the banks to take loans, the poor man could not even think of going inside the bank but today the bank itself is coming. '

During this, PM Modi thanked the bank personnel and praised their work. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was also involved during this dialogue with the street vendors. During this, PM Modi said, 'Such a scheme has been made for the first time after independence. How my poor siblings had to suffer the least, this was the concern at the Center of all the efforts of the government. With this thinking, the country started the poor welfare scheme from 1 lakh 70 thousand crores. At the beginning of the dialogue, Preeti of Agra told, 'During the lockdown, a lot of problems were faced. In the meantime, they got help from the Municipal Corporation and they started work again.'

During the video conferencing, Prime Minister Narendra Modi told the beneficiaries, 'PM SVANidhi scheme was launched on 1 June 2020 to help poor street vendors affected by COVID-19, who resume livelihood activities. So far, a total of over 24 lakh applications have been received under the scheme, out of which over 12 lakh has been approved and around 5.35 lakh loans have been disbursed. In the state of Uttar Pradesh, more than 6 lakh applications have come out of which around 3.27 lakh have been sanctioned and 1.87 lakh loan has been disbursed. ' In the last month, PM Modi had also held talks with street vendors of Madhya Pradesh under 'Sarvnidhi Sammelan'.
