Uttar Pradesh police have arrested father of the Firozabad girl who was shot dead outside her house from a close range. Father had alleged it to be the result of opposing eve-teasing and got his business rivals arrested.  To hoodwink the police, the father had initially lodged an FIR against 3 persons including a youngster who was in a relationship with the girl.

Accused Ajay Khatik wanted to falsely accuse the teenager and his friend said the UP Police. On the intervening night of 23rd-24th October, the UP Police received a call that somebody has shot a teenager in Rasulpur area of Firozabad. The complainant in the case was Ajay Khatik, the deceased father. In his complaint, he proves names of 6 person who all lived in the same locality. Three of them were identified as Manish, Gaurav and Sopali. He alleged that the brutal killing was an outcome of an incident of eve-teasing. Ajay further said that the accused were distressing his daughter for a very long time.

The UP Police registered a case of murder and under sections of the SC/ST act and locked up all three persons. The investigating officers found several discrepancies in the statement given by the father and other family members.
