New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to expand his council of ministers this week. Such reports are currently gaining momentum. In this case, the BJP is continuing its exercise at the top level. About 1.5 dozen new ministers are likely to be included in the expansion. In fact, the burden of additional charges and many ministers who are already handling more ministries can also be reduced. The reshuffle will take special care of the states going to the upcoming assembly elections. There are also reports that PM Modi is scheduled to hold an important meeting at his home today i.e.

BJP Chief JP Nadda, Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, Nirmala Sitharaman, and other top ministers are likely to attend the meeting. Some sources say that the decision to expand the Council of Ministers can be taken anytime within the next two to three days of July 7 or beyond. There can be an exercise to strengthen the NDA by involving allies in the expansion. The JD(U) will also be made a part of the Union Cabinet this time. At the same time, the AIADMK and its own party may also get a chance. This time representatives of remote States and Union Territories are also likely to be involved to achieve regional balance. You must be aware that when the Modi Government was formed, a total of 57 Ministers were made. These included 24 Cabinets, nine Independent Charge, and 24 Ministers of State.

But yes, many of these Ministers have more than one Ministry. The number of Cabinet Ministers has come down to 21 after the separation of Shiv Sena and Akali Dal and the death of Ram Vilas Paswan. On the other hand, a Minister of State also passed away. There are now only 53 Ministers, whereas as per the Constitution, the number of Ministers can be up to 79.  If some sources are to be believed, those who can be included in the future reshuffle and expansion of the Council of Ministers are former Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Modi, MP Jyotiraditya Scindia, Baijayant Panda, Rakesh Singh, Narayan Rane, Hina The names of Gavit, Sandhya Rai, Sunita Duggal, JDU leaders RCP Singh, Lalan Singh, and Santosh Kumar, etc are mainly in the discussion.
