Gwalior: Eight cheetahs have been brought from Namibia to Kuno National Park in Madhya Pradesh on September 17. The world is eyeing this mega event, as this is the first such shifting of cheetahs. Spread over 748 sq km of Madhya Pradesh's vast forest division, Kuno Palpur National Park will be the new home of eight African cheetahs. This area is similar to the Varsh forests of Korea in Chhattisgarh.

The same PM Narendra Modi left cheetahs brought from Namibia in Kuno National Park of Madhya Pradesh. Due to this, Prime Minister Modi himself was seen taking pictures of cheetahs with A DSLR camera. The cheetah has returned to India after seven decades. 8 cheetahs have reached Gwalior by a special plane from Namibia. Today, on the birthday of PM Narendra Modi, cheetahs have been released in Kuno National Park of Madhya Pradesh.

What is the Cheetah Project?

The cheetah was declared extinct in 1952 and now after 70 years, cheetahs have been brought to India's land. Union Civil Aviation and Steel Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia tweeted photos of cheetahs landing in India. He wrote, "Finally, the arrival of cheetah in Madhya Pradesh! Welcome!!"
