New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi released a new campaign video titled 'Mera Bharat, Mera Parivar'  just before the announcement of the Lok Sabha elections.

The video showcases various individuals benefiting from government welfare schemes, ranging from farmers to impoverished households. They express their support for the Prime Minister, declaring themselves as part of Modi's extended family.

In a tweet sharing the video, Modi stated, 'Mera Bharat, Mera Parivar'

The Prime Minister has frequently referred to the citizens of India as his 'family members'. Recent criticism from opposition leader Lalu Prasad Yadav, suggesting Modi has no family, has prompted him to reaffirm his bond with the people of the nation, whom he regards as his own.

Accompanied by a letter addressed to the citizens, Modi solicited their ideas and backing in crafting a 'Developed India', expressing confidence in their collective ability to elevate the nation.

In his address, Modi affectionately termed the citizens as 'dear family members', acknowledging nearly a decade of their partnership, and highlighting their unwavering trust and support, which serve as his inspiration.

He credited the significant improvements in people's lives over the past decade to the government's dedicated efforts, particularly in uplifting the underprivileged, farmers, youth, and women. The success of initiatives such as housing, electricity, water, and healthcare accessibility, as well as financial aid to farmers and women, underscores the trust placed in his leadership, Modi remarked.

Looking ahead, Prime Minister Modi expressed optimism about continuing the nation's upward trajectory, blending tradition with modernity. He emphasized the simultaneous progress in infrastructure development and the preservation of India's rich cultural heritage.

Modi attributed the government's ability to make landmark decisions, such as implementing GST, revoking Article 370, enacting laws against triple talaq, and promoting women's representation in Parliament, to the people's unwavering trust and support. Additionally, he highlighted the inauguration of a new Parliament building and decisive actions against terrorism and Left-Wing Extremism as significant achievements.
