After the clash between soldiers of India and China in the Galwan valley of Ladakh on Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Wednesday that I want to assure the country that the sacrifice of our soldiers will not go in vain. For us, India's integrity and sovereignty are supreme and nothing can stop us from protecting it. India wants peace but India is capable of giving a suitable answer in every situation on provocation. Nobody should have any doubt about this.

Before talking to the Chief Ministers on video conferencing, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in his brief address that India has been in favour of peace in every situation. India wants peace but is also able to respond appropriately to provocation. We never provoke anyone but we do not compromise on the integrity and sovereignty of our country. We know how to answer appropriately. On every occasion, we have demonstrated our valour for our integrity and sovereignty.

In his statement, the Prime Minister said that "I convey condolences to the martyrs and assure their families that the country is with you. India will protect its self and every inch of land". After this brief address, PM Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and the Chief Ministers of the States paid tribute to the brave sons by keeping a two-minute silence for the martyred soldiers on the Ladakh border. On June 19, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called an all-party meeting on this issue. PM Modi said that we always wished for the development and welfare of the entire humanity. Every countrymen is proud of the martyrdom of our brave soldiers. Our soldiers died while killing. Earlier, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh while paying tribute to the Indian soldiers who were martyred in the violent clash with the Chinese army, said that losing soldiers in Galwan Valley is very disturbing and sad. The Defense Minister tweeted that the Indian jawans showed indomitable courage and valour while performing the duty.
