Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while doing Yogas on Thursday morning with more than 50 thousand people in the city's forest research institute complex, said that the ancient Indian yogic tradition has emerged as the biggest power to unite this struggling world. 

While addressing thousands of people in front of the British Institute's building, Modi said that Yoga has shown the way to 'cure the disease' and is enriching the lives of people around the world. He said the reality is that in the pursuit of health and well-being, Yoga Day has taken the form of the biggest mass movement in the world. He said that being healthy is very important for establishing a peaceful world. 

   

 

 

 

The Prime Minister said, "From Dublin to Dehradun, Chicago to Shanghai, from Jakarta to Johannesburg, from Himalaya to the deserts, Yoga is making millions of lives prosperous all over the world."  He said, 'Yoga brings uniformity in the society which can become the basis of national unity. Proposals of Yoga Day in the United Nations were accepted in record time and most countries supported it."   

"The celebration of the International Day of Yoga was held in the Sacred City of Caral on June 20, 2018. A civilization more than thousands of years old as well as this millenary discipline," India in Peru, wrote in another tweet.  The Indian Embassy in Japan has also observed 4th International Yoga Day on June 19.
