New Delhi: On March 4, Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will speak at a webinar on the theme "Energy for Sustainable Growth," which will include representatives from the Ministries of Power, Petroleum & Natural Gas, Renewable Energy, Coal, Mines, External Affairs, Environment, and Forest and Climate Change.
According to an official statement from the Ministry of Power, "The webinar, which begins at 10 a.m., will examine the government's energy and resources plans, which were announced in Budget 2022, and will elicit thoughts and proposals for their efficient execution. PM Modi will speak during the webinar's opening plenary session."
"The Budget 2022 reinforces India's energy transition path by pushing a low-carbon development strategy in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Panchamrit' agenda unveiled at COP 26," it added.
The webinar will feature sessions on topics such as developing energy storage for renewable energy expansion, lifestyle for the environment (LIFE), coal gasification, promoting biomass as an alternative energy source, agro and farm forestry, and renewable energy scaling up, according to the statement. Government officials from several ministries and state governments, and industry leaders and other specialists, will participate in the webinar.
Participants will specify concrete steps to implement major initiatives, such as the Budget 2022 announcements in the energy and resources sector, as part of the collaborative process with the goal of promoting long-term economic growth.
