New Delhi: PM Modi is going to announce the results of the fifth edition of the annual cleanliness survey 'Swachh Survekshan - 2020' today. A total of 129 awards will be given to the cities that performed brilliantly in the 'Swachh Mahotsav'. The PM will also interact with selected 'Swachhagrahas' and cleaners of Swachh Bharat Mission-Urban (SBM-U) from different parts of the country through video conference.

On this occasion, PM will also announce the result of 'Swachh Survekshan -2020' on the dashboard. The Clean Survey 2020 campaign has been completed in 28 days. The government had started a clean survey for the purpose of mass participation of citizens in the mission. Under this, healthy competition within the cities of the country is also encouraged to make them clean. Under the program (SBM-U) the journey will also bring together and honor partner organizations of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs - United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) and Google .

In the Swachh Mahotsav, along with the cleanliness survey report, the report on Swachh Survekshan Innovation, Swachh Survekshan social media report and report on the cities along the Ganges will also be made public. Mysore held the title of cleanest city in India in the first edition of the survey, while Indore topped it for three consecutive years (2017,2018,2019). This time it has been delayed due to Corona epidemic.
