On Tuesday, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) confirmed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will travel to Nepal on May 11. The also said that it is going to be the two-day visit. According to the reports given by MEA official spokesperson Raveesh Kumar while addressing a media, briefing states that PM Narendra Modi will visit Nepal from 11-12 May.

As per the earlier reports, Nepal Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli has also visited Indian for three days in April. PM Modi declared this news barely after a month of Nepal PM's visit. At that time Nepal Prime Minister was accompanied by his wife Radhika Shakya and an entourage of ministers, Members of Parliament (MPs), secretaries and other high-ranking officials of the Nepal Government.

While his visit to Indian in the month of April as the first Premier of Federal Nepal Prime Minister Oli associated with many Indian politicos. He also highlighted India's commitment to link Nepal with the waterways. Which includes the railway's links to increase the connectivity between the two.

During Prime Minister Oli's visit, both India and Nepal recognised the untapped potential of inland waterways and hence they have shared their views in order to contribute towards the overall economic development of the region.
