New Delhi: Addressing the nation from the historic Red Fort on the 77th Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi confidently proclaimed his intention to secure power again in 2024, emphasizing his commitment to detailing the nation's accomplishments.

"In the upcoming five years, we are poised for unparalleled progress. This next quinquennium represents a momentous opportunity to bring our 2047 aspirations to fruition. On the next August 15th, I will stand before you here at the Red Fort to showcase the strides and advancements our nation has achieved," stated PM Modi.

During his tenth consecutive Independence Day speech, strategically ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the Prime Minister recited a motivational poem, rallying the populace to collectively achieve the goal he set for them: transforming the nation into a developed entity by the centenary celebration of its freedom in 2047.

"Marching through the wheels of time, the age of nectar, dreams of all intertwined, blooming dreams myriad, steadfast march of the brave and youth united, new methods, new ways, embracing challenges, head held high, elevate the nation's name..."

Concluding his address, PM Modi asserted, "Let us pledge that when the tricolor is unfurled in 2047, it shall adorn a developed India."

Departing from the previous "my fellow citizens," the Prime Minister referred to the people of India as "my family members" (parivaarjan) in his speech. He inaugurated his Independence Day speech with, "My beloved 1.4 billion family members."

Highlighting the urgency, the Prime Minister called for eradication of corruption, nepotism, and appeasement. He emphasized the detrimental impact of corruption and appeasement politics on the nation, singling out dynastic political parties with the mantra, "party of the family, by the family, and for the family."

"I have firm faith that as we commemorate 100 years of freedom in 2047, India will have achieved developed status. This belief stems from the inherent capability of our nation and the resources at our disposal. However, the present imperative is to combat the triad of corruption, dynasty, and appeasement," he appended.

As PM Modi concluded his speech, tricolor balloons were released into the sky above the Red Fort, signifying the culmination of the event. Following his address, he engaged with National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets.

This year's Independence Day celebrations mark the conclusion of the 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' (Festival of India's Freedom) initiated by the Prime Minister on March 12, 2021, at Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. These celebrations are set to usher the nation into a 'golden era,' symbolizing the "Amrit Kaal."
