New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar (PMRBP) awardees today, January 24. The PM will meet the youth heroes at 4 pm at his 7 Lok Kalyan Marg residence.
The Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar is an award given by the Government of India to children who have excelled in six different categories: innovation, social service, academics, sports, art and culture, and bravery. Each winner receives a medal, a diploma, and a monetary award of Rs. 1 lakh.
11 children from all over the nation were chosen for PMRBP-2023 under various Bal Shakti Puraskar categories this year. Six boys and five girls from 11 States and Union Territories are among the recipients. Children who excel in six categories have been awarded the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar by the Indian government. Each recipient receives a medal, a diploma, and a cash award of one lakh rupees.
On the occasion of Parakram Diwas on January 23, Prime Minister Modi named the 21 largest nameless islands of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands after recipients of the Param Vir Chakra.
He announced that a new memorial honouring the life of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose is being erected on the island where he resided, and he said that future generations will look back on this day as a pivotal moment in the Azadi Ka Amrit Kaal.
The Prime Minister also highlighted that the Netaji Memorial and the 21 newly named islands will be a source of constant inspiration for the young generations.
