HYDERABAD: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of projects worth more than Rs 11,300 crore in Telangana on  Saturday, April 8 2023.

During his 2-hour visit to Hyderabad, the PM will also address a public meeting at Parade Grounds in Secunderabad.

In accordance with the schedule, Modi will arrive at Begumpet Airport at 11.30 a.m. As he arrives at Secunderabad Railway Station, he will signal the departure of the Secunderabad-Tirupati Vande Bharat Express. This train is expected to cut the travel time between the two cities by almost 3 and half hours and will be particularly beneficial for pilgrim passengers.

Within a three-month period, Telangana has been the starting point for a second Vande Bharat train. The Secunderabad-Visakhapatnam Vande Bharat was essentially set off by the prime minister in January.

The Prime Minister will flag off the Secunderabad-Tirupati Vande Bharat Express before attending a public event at Parade Grounds and laying the cornerstone for new buildings at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Bibinagar.

This will greatly improve Telangana's health infrastructure, according to Lok Sabha member and Union Minister for Tourism and Culture G. Kishan Reddy of Secunderabad. Academic building additions and new facilities also include an auditorium, staff housing, and guesthouses.

The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation for the 720 crore rupee project to renovate Secunderabad Railway Station. The station will receive a significant overhaul with top-notch amenities and an iconic station building with beautiful design. The reconstructed station would include multimodal connectivity, a double-level expansive roof plaza with all passenger amenities in one location, and other features to allow for seamless passenger transfers from train to other modes.

The Prime Minister will also officially launch 13 new Multi-Modal Transport Service (MMTS) routes in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad's suburban area, giving commuters a quick, easy, and comfortable means of transportation.

The PM will also flag-off 13 new Multi-Modal Transport Service services in the suburban section of Hyderabad - Secunderabad twin city region, providing commuters with a fast, convenient and comfortable travel option.

The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation for five National Highway projects totaling more than Rs 7,850 crore during the programme. Both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh's road connections would improve as a result of these road initiatives.

The Prime Minister will depart from Begumpet Airport for Chennai at 1.20 p.m. after spending an hour at the Parade Ground public event.
