Dehradun: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will come to Dehradun on Saturday to launch and lay the foundation stone for a number of projects totaling Rs 18,000 crore. The foundation stone for eleven development projects will be laid by the Prime Minister. "The visit will place a strong emphasis on measures to improve road infrastructure, which will make travel easier and safer while also boosting tourism in the region. PM Modi will also address a rally in Dehradun today to kick off the electoral campaign for the forthcoming Uttarakhand assembly elections.

The Delhi-Dehradun Economic Corridor (from Eastern Peripheral Expressway Junction to Dehradun) will cost about Rs 8,300 crore to construct.
