NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, and Assam for three days starting Sunday. During his visit, he will take part in various development programs, including an investment summit in Bhopal and a financial aid distribution event for farmers in Bhagalpur.
On Sunday, in Madhya Pradesh, he will lay the foundation stone for the Bageshwar Dham Medical and Science Research Institute in Chhatarpur. The next day, he will officially open the Global Investors Summit in Bhopal.
In Bihar, on Monday, PM Modi will release the 19th installment of the PM-KISAN scheme, providing financial assistance to farmers. He will also launch several development projects before heading to Assam.
On Monday evening, he will attend ‘Jhumoir Binandini,’ a cultural event in Assam. The next day, he will inaugurate the Advantage Assam 2.0 Investment and Infrastructure Summit in Guwahati.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), the two-day Global Investors Summit in Bhopal will help position Madhya Pradesh as a top investment destination. The summit will include sessions on industries such as pharmaceuticals, medical devices, transport, logistics, tourism, and MSMEs. Special discussions will also focus on partnerships with countries from the Global South, Latin America, and the Caribbean.
The event will feature three major exhibitions: an auto show, a textile and fashion expo, and an exhibition on One District-One Product (ODOP) to highlight local craftsmanship and cultural heritage. Representatives from over 60 countries, along with Indian policymakers and business leaders, will attend.
As part of the PM-KISAN scheme, more than 9.7 crore farmers across India will receive Rs.21,500 crore in direct financial aid. The Bihar event will celebrate the formation of the 10,000th Farmer Producer Organization (FPO), which helps farmers collectively market and sell their products.
PM Modi will also open the Centre of Excellence for Indigenous Breeds in Motihari and launch a new milk processing plant in Barauni, which aims to support three lakh dairy farmers by providing an organized market for their products.
The ‘Jhumoir Binandini’ event in Assam will be a grand cultural program featuring 8,000 dancers performing the traditional Jhumoir dance of Assam’s tea tribes and Scheduled Tribes. This event marks 200 years of Assam’s tea industry and industrialization.
The investment summit in Assam will include seven ministerial sessions, 14 special discussions, and an exhibition showcasing the state’s economy, industrial growth, and trade opportunities. Over 240 exhibitors will participate in the event.
