Dehradun: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday left for Delhi after a two-day visit to Uttarakhand. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami presented prime minister Modi with Almora's popular Bal Mithai and a cap equipped with Brahmakamal. Prime Minister Modi also thanked Chief Minister Dhami. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that connectivity will be improved under the Ranges scheme in the mountains and goods will be transported through drones.

Attacking the opposition, PM Modi said that the country has been gripped by the mentality of slavery that every act of progress seems like a crime to some people. He said that religious places are like Punj and Prana Vayu for us. Addressing a public meeting in Mana, the last village on the China border, the PM said that on the completion of 75 years of the country's independence, I had given a call from the Red Fort to completely get rid of the mentality of slavery. Why did I have to say this after so many years of independence? What was the need to say that? This is because our country is so gripped by the mindset of slavery that every act of progress seems like a crime to some people.

He said that the work of progress was weighed by the scales of slavery, so for a long time, a sense of hatred was created about the development of their places of faith. These people do not tire of praising the places associated with the culture of foreign countries, but in India, such works are looked down upon. Modi said that what happened in the construction of Somnath temple after independence, everyone knows. Everyone knows what was the stand on the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. Such a mentality of slavery neglected our places of worship and places of faith. Governments have done no work. This was an injustice to these shrines. The sentiments of millions and crores of people were insulted. They never understood the importance of our centres of faith. Countless centres including Kashi, Ujjain and Ayodhya are regaining their glory. Kedarnath, Badrinath and Hemkund Sahib are being decorated.
