New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the nation from the ramparts of the Red Fort on the 400th Prakash Parv of Sikh Guru Tegh Bahadur on April 21. The Ministry of Culture has given information about PM Modi's address on the 400th Prakash Parv of Sikh Guru Teg Bahadur. It is believed that on this day, PM Modi can give a special message to the people of the Sikh community all over the world.
Earlier on January 9, PM Modi had paid tributes to the 10th Guru of The Sikhs Gobind Singh on his Prakash Parv. Addressing the people on the occasion of Guru Gobind Singh's Prakash Parv, PM Modi had said that his life and message provide strength to millions of people. Pm Modi had said that he will always be happy that his government got the opportunity to celebrate the 350th Prakash Utsav (birth anniversary) of Guru Gobind Singh.
Guru Teg Bahadur was the 9th Guru of the Sikhs. Born in Amritsar, Guru Teg Bahadur was the fifth child of Guru Hargovind Ji. After the death of the 8th Guru Harikrishna Rai Ji, he was made the 9th Guru. They built Anandpur Sahib and they started living there. Guru TegBahadur was extremely brave, fearless in nature and spiritually interested since childhood. Guru TegBahadur showed his bravery in the war against the attack of the Mughals with his father at the age of only 14. Impressed by his wonderful heroism, his father named him Tegh Bahadur, the man of the sword. He did not convert to Islam even after all the efforts of the Mughal ruler Aurangzeb and faced all the atrocities with full determination. Aurangzeb asked him to accept Islam, then Guru Sahib said shisha can be cut and not kesh.
