PM Narendra Modi will address the United Nations (UN) on 17 July amidst the war against Covid-19 in the world. The Prime Minister will address the public on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of Narendra Modi (YU). According to TM Tirumurti, India's Permanent Representative in the UK, PM Modi Sattra is scheduled to attend the keynote address at the Valedictory of the high-level section of the United Nations ECOSOC in New York on July. After the victory in the country's Security Council, this is going to be the first address of Prime Minister Modi in the United Nations (YU).

PM Modi will attend the event along with Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg and UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres. In addition to this, PM Modi gave a keynote speech on 22 January 2016 on the 70th anniversary of ECOSOC.

It is to be noted that the program is organized every year by the ECOSOC, a high-level segment. A diverse team of high-level representatives from the government, private sector, civil society, and academics is called. The topic of high-level segment post-coronavirus is multilateralism: 'what kind of UN do we need on the 75th anniversary.' The event assumes special significance as it will be the first time in which PM Modi has made his speech among the wider membership of the United Nations since India's heavy turnout as a non-permanent member of the Security Council on 17 June 2020 (for 2021-22).
