New Delhi: On August 28, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to dedicate to the nation the renovated complex of the Jallianwala Bagh memorial. PM Modi will also inaugurate museum galleries at the memorial on the occasion. PM Modi will dedicate Jallianwala Bagh to the nation through video conferencing at 6:25 pm on August 28. The event will also showcase the efforts made by the government to improve the campus.

This building had been lying idle for quite some time. It was also rarely used. So four museum galleries have been built to restore the buildings. These galleries demonstrate the special historical significance of various events that took place in Punjab during that period. Presentations will be made through audio-visual technology to showcase these events, including mapping and 3D depictions as well as art and sculpture.

A sound and light show has also been arranged to showcase various events that took place on April 13, 1919. Several development initiatives have been taken in this complex. According to the local style of Punjab, detailed heritage reconstruction works have been carried out. The martyrdom well has been repaired and rebuilt with the newly developed best structure.
