New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend a programme to mark the Panchayati Raj Day in the Samba district of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir on April 24. PM Modi will visit the Valley for the first time since the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir. He will be accompanied by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Rural Development Panchayati Raj Minister Giriraj Singh.

There are many implications for PM Modi's visit, in view of this, the Jammu and Kashmir administration and the Ministry of Panchayati Raj are placing full vitality into giving a grand look to the event. The programme will include online members of Panchayati Raj Institutions from different parts of the country. PM Modi will address the participants on the occasion. The programme, which will start at 11:30 am in the day, will be for about three hours. PM Modi will first attend the gram sabha meeting and during that time there will be a gram sabha meeting across the country which will be broadcast live. 

Let us tell you that this is happening for the first time in the country when for the first time there will be a carbon-neutral panchayat in any part and all the records will be digitised. This program of the Prime Minister will be with thousands of representatives of the panchayat. The Panchayats who have done good work, PM Modi will also honour them and their honour amount will reach the account immediately with the press of a button. In view of the elixir of freedom, the Prime Minister aims to build 75 ponds in each district.
