New Delhi: NCP chief Sharad Pawar is celebrating his 81st birthday today. PM Modi has wished Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) President Sharad Pawar on his birthday. On the other hand, the party has decided to celebrate Sharad Pawar's birthday in the presence of only a few people in view of the coronavirus epidemic situation and the growing threat of omicron. According to information received from Maharashtra government minister and party leader Jayant Patil, Sharad Pawar has decided to accept the wishes only through digital means. On the other hand, the party is scheduled to host an event at Nehru Kendra in Worli, Mumbai.
Where it has been revealed that Jayant Patil while talking to reporters has said that party workers, as well as common citizens, should not come to the centre to wish Pawar in view of the threat of omicron variant of covid infection. Where he has said, "In view of the coronavirus situation, (Pawar) Saheb is going to accept the wishes of the people this year only through digital means.
He further said, "The rally is going to be broadcast on the party's official Facebook page and YouTube channel. An app is also going to be launched on this day to strengthen coordination between the party organisation and its workers."
