PM Modi, Yashwant Sinha to be in Hyderabad on July 2

HYDERABAD:  Yashwant Sinha, a joint candidate for the opposition, is reportedly being invited by the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) to Hyderabad for the July 2 presidential election campaign. It's interesting to note that coincidently the date falls on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the city for the BJP national executive meeting at HICC, Gachibowli.

According to party sources, the TRS leadership decided to host a grant reception for Sinha in the city. K.T. Rama Rao, the TRS working president and minister of information technology, Cabinet ministers, TRS MLAs, and MPs will attend the meeting. Although party sources suggested that the Chief Minister had a higher possibility of attending, it is unclear whether TRS President and Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao would attend this meeting.

Sinha will separately meet with the MLAs and MPs of the TRS, the AIMIM, and the Congress as part of his canvassing in order to solicit their support.

Sharad Pawar, the leader of the Nationalist Congress Party, spoke to Chandrashekar Rao on the phone last week to solicit his support, the TRS has decided to endorse Yashwant Sinha for President. While filing his candidacy papers on June 27, Chandrashekar Rao sent Rama Rao and TRS MPs to Delhi to show his support for Yashwant Sinha.

On June 27, Rama Rao stated at a press conference in Delhi that the TRS had invited Yashwant Sinha to Hyderabad to the campaign.  Party sources said July 2, Saturday, was finalised for Yashwant's campaign in Hyderabad and the same was conveyed to S Yashwant inha to which he agreed.
