New Delhi: PM Modi attended the 18th convocation of Tejpur University in Assam today. Addressing the event, PM Modi taught students of education to university students. He said today is a life-long missed moment for more than 1200 students. The name of Tejpur University has been added forever with your career from today. During his speech, PM Modi also narrated tales of the Indian team's struggle in Australia.

At the beginning of his address, PM Modi said, "I am as happy as you are today. I am sure that the progress of the country, the progress of the state, which you have learnt at this university while in Tejpur, will give impetus and height. There are many reasons for this belief. First, inspiration from this historic place in Tejpur. Secondly, your work at the university is going to arouse a lot of enthusiasm. Thirdly, I have unwavering faith in the strength of eastern India, not only on the efforts of the people here to build the nation."

"Our country is entering 75 years of its independence this year. Countless people from Assam contributed to the liberation from slavery for hundreds of years. Now you have to live for a new India, for a self-reliant India. Life has to be meaningful."
