Amritsar: All the parties have now put their full lives into the electoral battle of Punjab. In the border Sikh-dominated state, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is also in the fray this time without entering into an alliance with the Shiromani Akali Dal. The BJP, which is looking for political ground for itself in Punjab, has now fielded its 'Trump card' PM Narendra Modi for the election campaign.

PM Modi is addressing an election rally in Jalandhar, Punjab today. While addressing the public meeting, PM Modi said that it is a great pleasure in itself to come to the land of Gurus, Pirs, Mystics, Great Revolutionaries and Generals. While bowing down to all the gurus, I bow down from the land of Jalandhar to Mother Tripuramalini, the deity of Shaktipeeth Devi pond. He said that today is the third anniversary of our brave martyrs, of the terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama. I bow my head reverently at the feet of the brave martyrs of Mother India from the soil of Punjab.

PM Modi further said that today I wanted to bow down at the feet of Goddess, seek her blessings. But the administration and police here raised their hands. He said that we will not be able to make arrangements, you leave by helicopter. Punjab has fed me roti when I used to work in village to village here as an ordinary BJP worker. Punjab has given me so much that I feel like working harder than I do to pay off its debt. He said that over the years you all have seen my hard work for the country. Whatever resolution we take for the country, we make it a project and spend our life fulfilling the project.
