New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi today participated in the valedictory function of the 2nd National Youth Parliament Festival through video conferencing. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Union Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju, and Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal are also present at the event. In the meantime, PM Modi said, "Greetings to all of you on the National Youth Day. This day, celebrated on the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, gives new inspiration to all of us.

PM Modi said that today's day has become special that this time the Youth Parliament is taking off in the Central Hall of parliament of the country. These central halls are witness to the creation of our Constitution. PM Modi says Swami Vivekananda has given another precious gift. This is a gift, the creation of individuals, the creation of institutions. It is very less discussed. People come under the influence of Swami Ji, build institutions, then emerge from institutions that go on the path shown by Swami Vivekananda and connect with new people.

PM Modi said that Swami Ji used to say, "According to old religions, atheists are those who do not believe in God." But the new religion says, "Atheists are those who do not believe in themselves." He said that it was Swami Ji, who at that era believed that fearless, frank, clean-hearted, courageous and aspirational youth are the foundations on which the future of the country is built. He believed in the youth, the youth power.
