Washington: PM Modi called the lockdown implemented at an early stage to combat the global pandemic Coronavirus a success. He said that the citizens of India have fought against Corona. Addressing the Indian-American Association of Physicians (AAPI) meeting online, he said that the Corona crisis was used to make the country self-reliant.

AAPI is an organization representing over 80,000 Indian-origin doctors in the US. For the first time, an Indian PM Modi addressed the institution's annual meeting. Modi released figures of various countries and said that India has fought in a very good way against the coronavirus. PM Modi said that in the US where 350 people have died on one million people and in European countries like Britain, Italy and Spain, where more than 600 people have died on one million people, in India, this rate is more than 12 is less.
