New Delhi: Amid the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has spoken to Russian President Putin over the phone. PM Modi has stressed that a solution can be found only through discussion. According to PM Modi, peace can be established only through diplomacy. At the same time, PM Modi has raised the issue of the safety of Indians with the Russian President. At the same time, PM Modi has also appealed to give up the path of violence.

In the 25-minute-long conversation, PM Modi most emphasised that there is not going to be any kind of solution to the war. According to PM Modi, if Russia has disputes with NATO countries, then that too should be resolved only through discussion. During the interaction, PM Modi also discussed in detail the issue of Indians stranded in Ukraine and made it clear that the safety of Indians stranded there is the first priority for the Indian government. At the end of the talks, the two leaders agreed that every issue would be discussed further and work would be done to strengthen the diplomatic channel.

By the way, before this meeting, PM Modi also did a high level. Several senior officials, including the Defence Minister, the Finance Minister and the External Affairs Minister, were also present in the meeting. It was discussed in the meeting that there would be no more statements on this dispute from India. At the same time, even if anything is said, the statements will be issued only by the 'necessary' ministries. The army has also been barred from making more statements on the controversy. Earlier, the Defence Minister had said about the situation that Indians stranded in Ukraine will be evacuated as soon as possible and safely.
