New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi has urged the Indian Medical Association (IMA) to study the benefits of Yoga on the occasion of Doctors' Day. PM Modi said that 'When doctors do research on Yoga, the whole world takes this seriously. Can such a study be carried forward on mission mode by IMA? Can your study on yoga appear in international journals?'

PM Modi further said, "Today, corona protocol is being prepared and implemented by our doctors. We have seen how the medical infrastructure was ignored. However, even after all the difficulties, India's position remained stable and better than many developed countries. I urge all of you to follow the corona rules with full awareness".

PM Modi further said that nowadays people belonging to the medical world are coming forward to promote Yoga. He said many modern medical science institutes are studying how yoga can help people recover after being infected with corona. Speaking on the occasion, PM Modi lauded the doctors and said, "Due to the knowledge and experience of our doctors, we are fighting the corona virus. The budget for the health sector has also been doubled by the government".
