Imphal: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today addressed a massive public meeting in Hegang in view of the Manipur assembly elections. PM Modi said, "Last month, Manipur completed 50 years of its establishment. In the last five years, our government has set a target to develop Manipur. People have seen the good governance of the BJP. At the same time, we have also seen the good intention of the party."
He further said- "The state has seen many governments, their functioning and their actions in the last few decades. Even after decades of Congress rule, there was only inequality in Manipur. In decades of Congress rule, Manipur got only inequality and unbalanced development. But in the last five years, the double engine government of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has sincerely tried for the development of Manipur."
PM Modi further said, "You have also seen the good governance of the BJP and you have also seen the good intentions. The hard work we've put in in the last five years. He has built a solid foundation for the next 25 years. I want to appeal to the youth and first-time voters that your vote is your active participation in this government. CM N Biren Singh Ji and his government have written a new chapter of change for Manipur, taking everyone forward. The youth are also coming forward to lead the wave of development."
