Patna: The CBI court has sentenced RJD President Lalu Prasad Yadav to 5 years in the fodder scam case, and ordered to pay a fine of Rs 60 lakh. He is associated with the illegal withdrawal of Rs 139.5 crore from Doranda Treasury in Ranchi. A total of 6 cases were registered against Lalu Prasad Yadav in the fodder scam, out of which five incidents are from Jharkhand and one incident is from Bihar. After that, Bharatiya Janata Party state president Sanjay Jaiswal has attacked him a lot.

Targeting Lalu, he said that after Lalu's punishment, Tejashwi Yadav should now take a lesson not to do corruption by selling tickets, otherwise the result would be something like this. He further said that Lalu Yadav has been punished for his actions. He had made Bihar a den of crime. There is a saying in Bihar that here is heaven and here is hell. He who does what he will get.

After the announcement of Lalu's sentence, Priyanka Gandhi had tweeted that seeing Lalu Yadav's health and age, he had requested the judiciary to give him less punishment. On which Sanjay Jaiswal said that Lalu Yadav was punished only during the time of Congress. On Lalu Yadav's scam, his brother tore the papers of Lalu Yadav's case. The then PM Manmohan Singh wanted to bring a bill to save Lalu Yadav. That too was denied by Rahul Gandhi. No one from his family was present with Lalu Yadav in Ranchi. On which Sanjay Jaiswal said that Lalu Yadav should now understand that for whom he did all this, no one is with him today.
