Pm Modi speaks in Japan, says 'terrorism is the biggest threat to humanity'

TOKYO: Bilateral talks between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump were held at the ongoing G-20 summit in Osaka, Japan. During the visit, Modi held talks with Trump on Iran, 5G, bilateral relations and defence issues. On the other hand, Donald Trump congratulated PM Modi for his spectacular victory in the Lok Sabha elections. PM Modi also thanked him. Prime Minister Modi said, India-US relations will be further strengthened, we are committed to democracy and peace.

Addressing the BRICs leaders' meeting, PM Modi said, terrorism is the biggest threat to humanity today. It not only takes the lives of innocents but also negatively affects economic development and social peace. We need to stop all means that help terrorism. Japan, the United Asia and India means JAI. With the mantra of Make in India, India, the US and Japan are moving on the path of advancement. Prime Minister Modi said, India's mantra is inclusiveness, development of all.

Prime Minister Modi also mentioned three major challenges facing the world at the BRICs summit. He described the first challenge as a slowdown and uncertainty in the world economy. Prime Minister Modi said unilateral decisions and rivalries are dominating the international trade regime based on rules. Prime Minister Modi said, the second major challenge is to make growth and progress inclusive and sustainable. Prime Minister Modi described terrorism as the world's third challenge. He said there should be solidarity against terrorism.
