Varanasi: PM Narendra Modi has reached his constituency Varanasi today to celebrate the Diwali in Kashi on the occasion of Kartik Purnima and Dev Deepawali. During this, PM Narendra Modi inaugurated six-lane projects worth 2474 crore between Kashi and Prayagraj.
PM Modi further said, "Many congratulations and best wishes of Dev Deepavali and Guruparva to all. Today, Varanasi is getting another gift of modern infrastructure on the festival of Dev Deepavali and Guru Nanak Dev Ji. I remember that my first public meeting was held on this ground in 2013. At that time, the highway passing through it was 4 lanes. Today with the blessings of Baba Vishwanath, this highway has become 6 lanes."
He further added, "The widening of this highway has made it easier to come between Kashi and Prayagraj. During the Kanwar Yatra, the problems faced by the Kanwadi and the people of this region will be eliminated. It will also be beneficial during Kumbh. With the beautification of Kashi in the last years, the work done in the connectivity here, the benefit is now visible. Whether to build new highways or fly overs , the work that is now being done in Benares and surrounding areas has never happened after independence."
