6 Urban Public health Centres to get ISO certification, Odisha

The Rourkela Municipal Corporation (RMC) has bagged ISO certificate for six urban primary health centres (UPHCs). The Six UPHCs includes Belughat, DAV (Basanti Colony), Sector 6, Tilkanagar, Koelnagar and Chhend Colony. “We went for ISO certification after improving the infrastructure and rendering quality service to people.

The certification is given after auditing of different processes,” said RMC commissioner Dibyajyoti Parida. The RMC received the ISO 9001-2015 certification for quality management system (QMS). 

To provide world class services, RMC concentrates on improving cleanliness, appointment of Doctors, availability of quality medicines and all the required infrastructure was available. Apart from providing the regular services, these hospitals provide treatment for gynaecological, paediatric and dental ailments. Hundreds of patients visit the UPHCs on daily basis, said the sources.
